Overview

SlickPay is a leading fintech company in Algeria that simplifies and secures everyday transactions. To support rapid growth, secure operations, and maintain strict regulatory compliance for our payment solutions, we are looking for a Legal Manager. Reporting to the executive team, you will own the company's legal framework, covering contracts, regulatory matters, governance, and protection of SlickPay's interests in a financial and technology environment.

What you will do

  • Contract management: draft, review, negotiate, and track commercial, partnership, supplier, and service contracts.
  • Regulatory compliance: monitor legal obligations for payment services, financial regulations, data protection, and electronic commerce.
  • Corporate governance: manage statutory documentation, board or shareholder matters, and corporate legal formalities.
  • Risk management: identify legal risks, recommend practical mitigation actions, and support strategic decisions.
  • Internal counsel: provide operational legal support to leadership, sales, product, and HR teams.

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years of successful business law experience, ideally in banking, finance, a business/IT law firm, or a tech/fintech company.
  • Degree in business law, banking law, financial law, or a related legal field.
  • Strong knowledge of business law, banking law, e-commerce law, and intellectual property law in Algeria.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory issues related to electronic payment and personal data protection.
  • Excellent legal and administrative communication in French and Arabic, written and spoken. Business English is strongly appreciated.
  • Legal rigor, analytical and synthesis skills, negotiation ability, business pragmatism, and discretion.
