Registered with the Ordre des Experts-Comptables, Startzone is a hybrid accounting firm specializing in supporting ride-hailing (VTC) and taxi drivers. We combine tailored accounting advisory with the power of internally developed tech tools: client portal, revenue cockpit, back-office for our accountants, and automated generation of regulated tax and legal documents.

Overview

You will join the firm's in-house engineering team (not an external software vendor) to deliver end-to-end features: from data modeling and API endpoints to user interfaces, testing, and deployment. You will work in a modern technical environment where AI-assisted development is the standard (Claude Code funded by the firm, git worktrees workflow, and human code reviews).

What you will do

  • Fullstack Development & API: deliver end-to-end features relying on NestJS 10 (backend) and Angular 18-20 / React 19 (frontend).
  • Databases & Modeling: design schemas, queries, aggregation pipelines, and indexing strategies with MongoDB / Mongoose 8 (Atlas).
  • Synchronization & Third-Party Integrations: ensure reliability of ride-hailing revenue sync and integrate external APIs (Stripe, Calendly, banking aggregators, accounting tools) guaranteeing webhooks, idempotency, and retries.
  • Frontend Modernization & Code Quality: participate in unifying the 4 Angular applications of the ecosystem and increase automated test coverage.
  • Product Evolution & Regulations: prepare the platform for electronic invoicing reforms and contribute to building AI integration tools (MCP server with OAuth 2.1).
  • CI/CD & DevOps: manage code with Git (worktree per ticket), Docker containerization, GitLab CI/CD, and AWS deployment monitored with Sentry.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years in Fullstack TypeScript development, with practical, recent experience in NestJS (or highly structured Node backend) and Angular 17+.
  • Key Technical Skills — Stack: TypeScript, NestJS 10, Angular 17+, MongoDB (Mongoose, aggregations), React 19.
  • Key Technical Skills — DevOps & Integration: Git, Docker, GitLab CI/CD, AWS, Sentry, third-party API management (webhooks, idempotency).
  • Language: fluent French mandatory (the product, team, and clients are 100% French).
  • Soft Skills: genuine autonomy, strong initiative (technical proactivity without waiting for written specs), and comfort with AI-assisted development workflows.
  • Highly valued bonuses: knowledge of French accounting, tax, social, or payroll domains, FinTech / regulated environments, or Ionic / Capacitor.
