Since its inception in 2020, Code213 has guided thousands of learners in upskilling and professional integration through a highly hands-on approach aligned with job market needs. The school offers both short professional courses and diploma programs (notably 2-year post-secondary / BTS degrees) in fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Data, Software Development, Cybersecurity, and Digital Marketing. Code213 also partners with enterprises to fulfill their training, talent development, and hiring needs. Code213 is entering a new phase of growth, with the development of new program offerings, the enhancement of its digital platform, and international expansion goals. In this context, we are hiring a Chief Operating Officer (COO) capable of translating strategy into operational excellence and structuring the company for scale.
Overview
The COO is responsible for transforming the strategic vision defined with the CEO into operational execution. Their primary objective is to enable Code213 to grow rapidly while maintaining high levels of quality, learner satisfaction, and operational performance. They supervise all school operations and coordinate teams to ensure fluid, scalable execution.
What you will do
- Lead operations & operational excellence: Supervise all daily school operations and ensure the smooth running of courses. Coordinate pedagogical, commercial, marketing, admissions, and support teams. Standardize, document, and automate processes (notably via technology and AI) to build a scalable organization. Define responsibilities, establish SLAs, and eliminate bottlenecks.
- Performance steering & management: Set up and monitor the weekly executive operational dashboard (conversion rate, fill rate, attendance, drop-out rate, satisfaction, NPS, etc.). Manage operational leads, set targets, and establish effective management rituals. Monitor individual and collective performance, develop managerial capabilities, and foster an execution-driven and accountable culture. Identify hiring needs and participate in recruiting key profiles.
- Pedagogical quality & student experience: Guarantee the quality of training, compliance with curriculums, and excellence of instructors/trainers. Ensure student satisfaction, individual coaching, and smooth student life management. Establish continuous measurement and improvement mechanisms.
- Student funnel optimization & new projects: Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams to streamline the student journey (Lead → Enrollment → Certification → Employment) and optimize conversion rates. Steer the operational rollout of new offerings and programs (capacity, scheduling, onboarding, quality control). Structure a replicable operational model for Code213's international expansion.
Requirements
- Experience: 7 to 12 years of professional experience with significant background in team management and operations (experience in startup, scale-up, EdTech, SaaS, services, or high-growth companies is a plus).
- Technical skills: Excellent structuring skills, KPI-driven management, complex project leadership, proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, and strong familiarity with automation tools and AI.
- Soft skills & qualities: "Builder" profile, highly organized, pragmatic, autonomous, uncompromising on quality, excellent communicator, and able to navigate between global strategy and operational detail.
